For the past 3 days I have received threatening Emails from John McAfee every few hours and I am not the only person getting these. In his Emails he has sent screen shots, links, pictures of people and more importantly death threats.

In an Email to me he stated he sent the same information to over 200 people through Email. He stated in one Email that he has sent people to Acapulco to “Talk to me in person”. He has threatened personal harm to me and my family members if I don’t remove my websites. He has sent images of people he says are my family members and makes very clear he is targeting them.

18 USC § 875 – Interstate communications
(b) Whoever, with intent to extort from any person, firm, association, or corporation, any money or other thing of value, transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication containing any threat to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.
John McAfee has clearly stated in no uncertain terms that if I do not remove my sites from the Internet he will target my family and also sent pictures of people he claims are my family members. My websites do have monetary value and his demands and threats were clearly extortion under US Federal law.
I am posting this information although not in it’s entirety and I will swear under oath in a court of law that this article is fact under the penalty of perjury. I have the Emails, they are from his personal well documented Yahoo! Email account and are ready to be sent to law enforcement.
Update 1/31 9:15 pm: I did contact the police and FBI offices in Portland, Or. and explained the situation, it’s their problem now. In part the messages were funny because John is convinced I am a bald guy that changed my name to Rudy and became a tour guide and sent me pictures of 2 different people that he is convinced are the same person. He sent me the legal history for one person and said “Prepare for prison” but the guys record was for stuff like being caught with a joint and running a red light. It became scary when he started sending threats and then he went to far. I had to act.
I feel bad for him at the same time. I do believe he is guilty of killing Greg while doped up on MDPV – but my experiences with him really has verified how badly it has cooked his brain. He is nearly 70 years old and the human brain cannot survive freebase MDPV. It makes me sad that his life has come to this.

This second screen shot is from a Yahoo! Email account. The messages began appearing on Tuesday January 29 at 8:35 pm. You can see from the Mouse-Over that the emails have in fact come from John David McAfee’s well documented Email address.

How do I know for certain it was the real John McAfee? It has to do with the rules of Email transmission. Email’s can be spoofed to look like they came from a specific address such as SPAM. I am very familiar with the RFC 2822 and Header information. When I responded to his Emails it was sent to jdavidmcafee@yahoo.com and he did reply back from that account. There is no mistaking it, it’s Johnny.
Need more proof? When the “Website” topic started above, I sent the first email to his Yahoo! email account and asked him to stop bothering people, he responded many times from his well documented email account. Here is a screen shot of my outbox and you can clearly see the first message was hand addressed to him:
I would love to post all of the Email’s shared between he and I but since he made threats against several people it would be unwise to do so. I do not want to victimize those people by posting their personal data.
UPDATE January 3, 2013:
On November 30, 2012 an article was written by the local paper in Ambergris Caye, Belize. They noted that John McAfee claimed his Yahoo! mail account was compromised by the GSU. He also stated the GSU had just raided his property which was also untrue. Click here for article
On January 28. 2013 John McAfee had posted a faq page on his whoismcafee blog stating he could be reached at jdavidmcafee@yahoo.com
An interesting tweet caught my eye today from Aryeh Goretsky a past employee and commenter on the whoismcafee blog:
It amazes me how John’s email is so easily compromised, especially when it attaches him to trouble. There are too many “coincidences” with John McAfee. I had considered that Aryeh Goretsky was involved with John’s Doxing efforts but will let the police sort it out.

About 24 hours after I originally published this article John made a Blog post that he has left the USA and is with his victim girlfriend in an undisclosed location. Pretty quick disappearing act from a man who only days earlier gave press conferences and said he would be living in Portland for the next 18 months.
